It’s no secret that football’s coming home and this summer is going to be England’s first World Cup win since 1966. Okay, technically we’ve not got the trophy in the cabinet just yet, but with only a few matches left to win, we’re feeling pretty confident here at Custom Cookie Company HQ.
To celebrate perhaps the greatest summer of all time, here’s our top tips to throw the best World Cup party in your workplace.
One of the most important aspects of a workplace World Cup party is of course the food. No party is complete without a beautiful spread.
Whether you do a traditional British buffet with sandwiches, crisps, scotch eggs and sausage rolls, or you opt for a warm buffet of chilli, curry and pasta dishes, there are plenty of options.
If you really want to push the boat out, you could include a dish to represent each team in the tournament. Alternatively, you could create a ‘sandwich stadium’. We particularly love this one created by Prudence Staite, a food artist with a real talent for making amazing works of art using nothing but grub.
Once you’ve planned the food, it’s time to move onto your workplace’s decor.
Football garlands, England flag bunting and giant cardboard cutouts of your favourite players are just a few decorations you could add to the workplace to give it a more patriotic vibe.
Of course, you’ll also need a big screen or two so that you can all watch the match together.
If you’d like to add an extra unique touch to your World Cup party that will leave your employees’ Facebook friends thinking “I wish I worked there”, why not treat your staff to some football-themed customised cookies. Whether you’d like to order a selection of football-shaped cookies or an edible England squad, we can unleash our creativity and make your wish our command. We could even personalise each cookie with your employees names’ on the back of football shirts.
